Sparkchime Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Sparkchime collects, what never leaves your device, and the choices you have. It matches, category by category, the App Privacy information we publish on the app's App Store product page.
Sparkchime is published by Thistle Corridor. Sparkchime is free and is paid for by advertising, so parts of the app connect to advertising and measurement services. Those services, and exactly what they receive, are listed below.
1. What stays on your device
The things you actually make in Sparkchime are stored locally and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else:
- Recorded performances — saved as ordinary files in the app's own folder on your device.
- Your settings and progress — music, sound and vibration switches, chosen sky theme, total shots fired, and which badges you have unlocked.
- Screenshots you choose to share — a picture is written to a temporary folder only when you press SHARE, and it is handed straight to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice.
None of this is in any of the categories in section 2. It is not sent to a server, we cannot see it, and it is removed when you delete the app.
2. What is collected, and what it is used for
Advertising and measurement in the app collect the categories below. "Linked to you" means the data is associated with your identity or device. "Used to track you" means it may be linked with data from other companies' apps and websites for advertising or measurement — this is exactly what the App Tracking Transparency prompt in section 4 asks you about.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, precise location, health data, payment information, or the contents of your recordings.
3. Who receives it
Two third-party services are built into the app, and both are named here so you can read their own policies:
- Adjust GmbH — attribution and analytics. It records app installs, launches, ad impressions and ad revenue so we can tell which marketing actually works. Adjust privacy policy.
- AppLovin (MAX) — advertising mediation. MAX decides which advertising network fills each ad slot and passes the request on to that network, which then receives the data described in section 2. AppLovin privacy policy.
The advertising networks that MAX may mediate to in this app are: Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Pangle, Mintegral, Unity Ads, Vungle (Liftoff), InMobi, Bigo Ads, Moloco and Fyber (Digital Turbine). Each is an independent controller of the data it receives and applies its own privacy policy; Google's, as the largest of them, is at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed above.
4. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
The first time you open Sparkchime on iOS, the system asks whether Sparkchime may track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- If you allow it, the advertising identifier (IDFA) can be shared with the services in section 3, and the ads you see are more likely to be relevant to you.
- If you ask the app not to track, the advertising identifier is not shared. The app keeps working exactly the same way and you still see ads — they are just less relevant, and measurement is less precise.
You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can reset the advertising identifier itself in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
5. Children
Sparkchime is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The app shows advertising supplied by the third parties named in section 3. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to the address in section 9 and we will delete it.
6. Your choices and how to delete data
- Delete a recorded performance — open the gallery (▤) from the main screen and press DELETE on that performance. It is removed from your device immediately.
- Delete everything the app stores locally — delete the app from your device. Recordings, settings, progress and badges all go with it.
- Stop cross-app tracking — see section 4.
- Ask us about data held by our partners — write to the address in section 9 and tell us your device's approximate date of first launch; we will pass the request to Adjust and AppLovin, who hold the identifiers on their side. Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of that data.
7. Data retention and transfers
We do not run servers of our own for Sparkchime. The data in section 2 is held by the services in section 3 under their own retention schedules, and may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or replace a service that collects data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it before the change ships.
